Parishioners are invited to attend a Renewal Weekend to be held in the Parish Hall this September. The theme running through the weekend will be
“Becoming Creative as Catholics Today”

Chris Dyczek, OFM is a Franciscan Deacon who joined the friars in 1979, after spending three years teaching secondary school literature classes in Malawi, in Central Africa.
He has spent time in parishes in Edinburgh and East London (Stratford), trying out some unusual areas of community building for the local church. This included writing and directing a Musical, Echoes of Peace, for a jubilee, and an ecumenical service during the London Olympics.
He has studied theology at Fordham University in New York and taught it at the University of Kent. At the Franciscan Study Centre in Canterbury he has taught Church History.
He has given talks on Franciscan topics and on Narrative Theology (the place of story-telling in our faith-sharing) in Edinburgh, New York and London. He enjoys classical music, drama and foreign languages (German and French).
