The foods in the baskets have a symbolic meaning:
eggs – symbolise life and Christ’s resurrection.
bread – symbolic of Jesus.
lamb – represents Christ.
salt – represents purification.
horseradish – symbolic of the bitter sacrifice of Christ.
ham – symbolic of great joy and abundance.
